Parand

Parand is a screenwriter, essayist, and fiction writer from Afghanistan.  She is a contributor to the anthology of My Pen Is the Wing of a Bird (MacLehose Press, 2022), Rising After the Fall (Scholastic, 2023), My Dear Kabul (Coronet/Hodder, 2024) and her short stories have been published in Critical Muslim, Zan Times and 1455 Moveably Type. Parand has also contributed to the German newspaper Die Zeit’s 10-to-8 column.

Abdul Bacet Khurram is a reporter, interpreter and literary translator working in Dari, Pashto, and English. He studied Chinese Literature at university in Beijing where he also spent time teaching English in kindergartens and secondary schools. He returned to Afghanistan where he worked as a news editor and translator for a local news channel and edited content in English, Pashto, and Dari. Khurram has been working as a translator and interpreter in Pashto and Dari with Untold Narratives since the start of the year while continuing his work as a news reporter.
