Parand

is a screenwriter, essayist, and fiction writer from Afghanistan.  She is a contributor to the anthology of My Pen Is the Wing of a Bird (MacLehose Press, 2022), Rising After the Fall (Scholastic, 2023), My Dear Kabul (Coronet/Hodder, 2024) and her short stories have been published in Critical Muslim, Zan Times and 1455 Moveably Type. Parand has also contributed to the German newspaper Die Zeit’s 10-to-8 column.
