is a Sudanese novelist and journalist. His novel Freej Al-Murar (2014) won the Sharjah Award for Arab Creativity, while Nabou’at Alsaqa (2015), Al Tawoos Al-Aswad (2017), and Aiynani Khadrawan (2020) were longlisted for the International Prize for Arabic Fiction in 2016, 2018, and 2021, respectively. His novel Al Hattaboun was published in 2024. A’ilat Shajarat Allymoun (The Lemon Tree Family) is his sixth novel.
