Rojin Shekh Hamo

is a Kurdish translator and interpreter from Serekaniye, Rojava. She holds a BA in English Literature and is currently completing an MA in Comparative Studies at Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf. Her translation work focuses on Kurdish literature into English, including contributions to Kurdistan +100 (Comma Press). Her approach to translation is shaped by the conviction that Kurdish texts carry more than just literary meaning, where layers of cultural memory, political struggle, and collective imagination demand careful, ethically grounded rendering in the target language. Her broader work spans documentary subtitling and literary and humanitarian contexts, across Kurdish, Arabic, and English.
