Mohamed Gohar is an Egyptian architect, artist, and urban heritage strategist. He works between Alexandria and Marseille as an independent cultural consultant for Mediterranean collaborations in academic and cultural institutions. In his cultural research, he employs a combination of social studies and architectural practice to observe and study the socio-cultural dynamics of contemporary Alexandria and their impact on the city’s urban and Built Environment evolution. He studies and analyzes the communal behaviors of the city’s inhabitants, with a focus on fostering an impartial understanding of shifting values and cultures.
