Laila Abdalla

Laila Abdalla is a 27-year-old Egyptian multimedia journalist. Born and raised in Cairo, she attended a German school, earned her Abitur, and moved to Germany in 2015. She studied Cross-Media Journalism at Stuttgart Media University while working as a freelance journalist for a leading regional broadcaster. After graduating, she specialized in video journalism at Mediaschool Bayern in Munich before moving to Bonn for a traineeship with Deutsche Welle, where she later worked as an editor in the Middle East department. Today, Laila focuses on independent projects and in-depth reporting. She is passionate about covering societal issues, particularly those affecting minority communities.
