Cole Stangler is a journalist and author writing about politics, housing and labor issues. Based in Marseille, France, he is a contributor to The Nation, Jacobin, and the international news network France 24. His work has also been published in The New York Times, Washington Post, Guardian, Foreign Policy, The Intercept and other newspapers, journals and websites. His first book Paris Isn’t Dead Yet: Surviving Gentrification in the City of Light was published in 2023 by New Press in the U.S. and The Westbourne Press, in the UK.
