Bibi Manavi is a Paris-based multidisciplinary artist. Her practice focuses on accessing memory through microscopic observation and preservation of disappearing flora, by means of sculpture and photography. Manavi graduated from Central Saint Martins, London, in 2015. Her research on Iranian ornamental techniques led her to undergo an apprenticeship training in the traditional craft of Āina-kāri (mirror mosaics) in Shiraz in 2016. She has since participated in various residencies and exhibited throughout France, Italy and the UK. Her work has been published in the book Les Mont Analogue, by René Daumal (Éditions Gallimard 2013).
