Radhika Singh

A writer and editor living in Queens, New York, Radhika (Ra) Singh‘s creative practice has included drafting sitcoms, comics and novels of science fiction. Her work speculates on the crisis of Empire today, the debilitating effect that capitalist imperialism has on all humanity — including subjects in the “belly of the beast” — and the resistance strategies necessary to secure collective liberation on both a spiritual and material front. Her current work-in-progress involves tracing the Persian and Arabic lineages of her Punjabi heritage, exploring the Sufi and Islamic roots of her Sikh faith, reclaiming histories from the ‘center of the world’ that have been silenced by western imperialism, and reasserting these connections for a truly post-colonial future. Most recently, she worked with comrade Samita Chatterjee to produce Leila Khaled & the Struggle for Liberation for Comixense magazine.
