Namal Siddiqui

is a Pakistani poet, born and raised in the UAE. Siddiqui heads the International Programme at Ubud Writers and Readers Festival, Indonesia. After a long sabbatical, spending a year on Pakistani mountains and another completing her MA in Creative Writing in the UK, Siddiqui’s worked across avenues and practices in the UAE that cultivated her love for literature, poetry and performance while briefly lecturing for Creative Writing at the Rochester Institute of Technology in Dubai. Siddiqui’s work includes themes of multicultural identities, decolonisation, and nature influenced by her travels and intrigue of South Asian poetic and cultural traditions.
