Marcia Lynx Qualey

is a writer, editor, occasional translator, and founding editor of ArabLit and ArabLit Quarterly. Her work with Arabic literature and translation has been recognized by the Literary Translation Initiative Award from the London Book Fair and the Ottaway Award for the Promotion of International Literature from Words Without Borders. She was also a winner of the Palestine Book Award, with Sonia Nimr, for her translation of Nimr’s Wondrous Journeys in Strange Lands. The books podcast BULAQ features Qualey, from Rabat, and Ursula Lindsay from Amman, on literature from the Maghreb and Mashreq.
