Clive Bell

Clive Bell is a writer and musician with a special interest in world music. He writes regularly for The Wire music monthly in London. Recent subjects include Lebanese artist-musician Raed Yassin; Nigerien rock band Mdou Moctar; British Indian drummer-composer Sarathy Korwar and the Leo record label, responsible for releasing Soviet-era free jazz. A musician, Bell specializes in Japanese music and the shakuhachi flute, performing on the soundtracks of several major films and games. His flutes were recently featured on the hit game Ghost of Tsushima.
