Batoul Ahmad

is a visual artist based in Naarm (Melbourne), Australia. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from RMIT University and a Graduate Certificate in Visual Arts from the University of Melbourne. Batoul has exhibited her work in numerous galleries across Melbourne and is actively involved in curating and installing art shows. Her practice also includes leading community-focused art projects, particularly those centered on marginalized communities. Through her practice, Batoul explores art-making informed by trauma and emotion. She delves into themes of identity, displacement, and gender, often addressing the emotional and psychological dimensions of the exiled self. Through art and language, she embraces the different facets of the experience (between/across borders), focusing on its surreality.
