Jean-Philippe Cazier

Jean-Philippe Cazier is a writer and editor who hails from Sète in the south of France. He studied philosophy at the Sorbonne under François Dagognet and Pierre Macherey. As a contributor to various creative and critical journals (Inventaire/Invention, Chaoïd, Inculte, Concepts, Chimères), he has written poetry and fiction, as well as studies on, among others, Gilles Deleuze, Félix Guattari, Michel Foucault, Jacques Derrida, Henri Michaux, Oliver Rohe, Léon Chestov and Jacques Doillon. He has also translated texts by Jorge Sanjines, María Galindo, Blanca Wiethüchter, and Kathy Acker. He is a member of the editorial board of the journal Chimères and co-editor in chief of the magazine Diacritik. His most recent book of photographs and an essay is Vous fermez les yeux sur notre colère, from Editions Lanskine.
