is a Syrian author of literary speculative fiction and a political scientist. He is the winner of the 2025 Azhar Prize and has been nominated for the Pushcart and Best of the Net awards. His work explores morally complex characters, fractured identities, and the legacies of forgotten libraries. Born in Damascus, he earned an MA in Conflict Resolution in the U.K. and now lives in Tartous on the Mediterranean coast. He is currently writing an epic fantasy heist novel set in the non-Western world of “War and War.”
