They will discuss the art of fiction, the universality of localism, and the challenges facing writers from the Middle East and beyond in western-centric publishing. She is co-editor, with Jordan Elgrably of\u00a0<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sum\u016bd: A New Palestinian Reader<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that will be published by Seven Stories Press in October. Omar was born in 1982 in Kabul, Afghanistan, and holds a BA in journalism from Kabul University, and an MFA in Creative Writing from Boston University. He was a Scholars at Risk Fellow at Harvard University.
