About the book:<\/strong><\/p>\n

This book brings together the best short stories published in The Markaz Review literary magazine, with contributions from 25 emerging and\/or established writers of Middle Eastern and North African origin; a unique collection of voices and points of view that illuminate life in the modern Arab world.<\/span><\/p>\n

The stories cover a number of styles and genres, from literary fiction to science fiction, epistolary to noir.<\/span><\/p>\n

Contributors include Salar Abdoh, Leila Aboulela, Farah Ahamed, Omar El Akkad, Sarah AlKahly-Mills, Nektaria Anastasiadou, Amany Kamal Eldin, Jordan Elgrably, May Haddad, Malu Halasa, Mohamad Khalil (MK) Harb, Alireza Iranmehr, Karim Kattan, Hanif Kureshi, Sahar Mustafah, Ahmed Naji, Mai Al-Nakib and Natasha Tynes.<\/span><\/p>\n

About the editor:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jordan Elgrably<\/strong> is a Moroccan-born Franco-American writer whose stories and creative nonfiction have appeared in numerous anthologies and magazines. He is the Editor-in-Chief and Founder of The Markaz Review in Montpellier.<\/span><\/p>\n
