the rose caught fire<br \/>\nwithout knowing, we wandered<br \/>\nsounds of horses\u2019 clip clops were already drunk,<br \/>\nkeys broken, adobe houses bereft of meaning<br \/>\nwe memorized the pain of exile on country roads<br \/>\nwith the burden of the land we belonged to<br \/>\non each new path<br \/>\nstars fell on the drunk scars of our faces<br \/>\nour steps enamored to Nemruds<br \/>\ncollapsed into an impossible puzzle<br \/>\nand left us with the wounded smiles of cities<br \/>\nwith doleful fire and fig-stained sorrow<br \/>\nwe wrote poems after thousands of years<br \/>\nin the summer palaces of stammering time in angry dreams<br \/>\nO, sons of Adam, we learned<br \/>\nthe secret to the cycle of life<br \/>\nwhat does \u201cnothing\u201d mean in the soul fire?<br \/>\nhow about the scale mark of truth<br \/>\nin the courtyard that gnaws the heart?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"&amp;ccedil;ocuklu\u011fum ko\u015fuyor (my childhood on the run) &amp;mdash;
