Due to climate disaster, war, civil strife and economic fallout, there are more than 65 million refugees, not to mention the millions of internally displaced migrants in Turkey, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, to name but a few of the countries experiencing upheaval. As senior writer <strong>Arie Amaya-Akkermans<\/strong> notes in his essay, <a href=\"https:\/\/themarkaz.org\/oldsite\/for-those-who-dwell-in-tents-home-is-temporal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">For Those Who Dwell in Tents<\/a>, &#8220;The tents of refuge are not just a prophetic metaphor, but a political reality for millions of people.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This discussion includes <strong>Yesmine Abida<\/strong> on her essay <a href=\"https:\/\/themarkaz.org\/oldsite\/nabeul-mon-amour\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nabeul, Mon Amour<\/a> on the town&#8217;s lost Jewish community; contributing editor <strong>Iason Athanasiadis<\/strong> on his 20-year\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/themarkaz.org\/oldsite\/the-odyssey-that-forged-a-stronger-athenian\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Odyssey That Forged a Stronger Athenian<\/a>; <strong>Aomar Boum<\/strong> on his <a href=\"https:\/\/themarkaz.org\/oldsite\/the-man-at-the-heart-of-lamhamid-morocco\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">brother Mohammed at home in Morocco<\/a>; TMR&#8217;s literary editor <strong>Malu Halasa<\/strong> on <a href=\"https:\/\/themarkaz.org\/oldsite\/broken-home-britain-in-the-time-of-migration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Broken Home: Britain in the Time of Migration<\/a>; and <strong>Lushik Lotus Lee<\/strong> on <a href=\"https:\/\/themarkaz.org\/oldsite\/coming-of-age-in-a-revolution\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Coming of Age in a Revolution<\/a>.
