Palestinian attorney Raja Shehadeh<\/strong>, author most recently of We Could Have Been Friends, My Father and I: A Palestinian Memoir<\/em><\/a>, will discuss his latest work, along with such previous books as Palestinian Walks<\/em> and Strangers in the House<\/em>. He is a Palestinian lawyer and writer who lives in Ramallah. Shehadeh is a founder of the pioneering, nonpartisan human rights organization Al-Haq, an affiliate of the International Commission of Jurists, and the author of several books about international law, human rights, and the Middle East.<\/p>\n

Amal Ghandour<\/strong> is the author of\u00a0This Arab Life: A Generation’s Journey into Silence<\/a>.<\/i>\u00a0Since 2009, she has held the position of Senior Strategy Adviser to Ruwwad al Tanmeyah, a regional community development initiative that spans Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon, and Egypt.<\/p>\n
