Gallery.<\/p>\n<p>Bernard\u00a0Plossu\u00a0is a celebrated French photographer who was born in\u00a0Vietnam in 1945.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>His photographic initiation started when his father took him to visit the Sahara in 1958 with a Kodak brownie flash.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-409 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/themarkaz.org\/oldmarkaz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Bernard-Plossu-autoportrait1-500x350-1-300x210.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"210\" srcset=\"https:\/\/themarkaz.org\/oldmarkaz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Bernard-Plossu-autoportrait1-500x350-1-300x210.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/themarkaz.org\/oldmarkaz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Bernard-Plossu-autoportrait1-500x350-1.jpeg 500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In 1965 he went to Mexico, and traveled incessantly thereafter.<\/p>\n<p>In 1988 he won the Grand Prix National de la Photographie, and his work was given a retrospective at MNAM in the Centre Pompidou.<\/p>\n<p>He has produced more than 25 books and his work has been shown in over 30 expositions.<\/p>\n<p>Two exhibitions of his work were held simultaneously in 2011, one in Marseille&#8217;s Vieille\u00a0Charit\u00e9 and the other, &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.museegranet-aixenprovence.fr\/expositions\/passees\/plossu.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">La Montagne\u00a0Blanche<\/a>,&#8221; at the Mus\u00e9e Granet in Aix-en-Provence.<\/p>\n<p>He lives in La Ciotat with his wife, photographer\u00a0Fran\u00e7oise Nu\u00f1ez.<\/p>\n<p>TMR thanks Bernard
